Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

High XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

With a Sprite Darter Hatchling instead of Chrominius (1 1 2) it was a walk in the park

this should have an RNG tag, 1st try i went 74 rounds only for it to fail and 2nd try mech killed my emerald proto in like 4 rounds, 3rd try i got lucky

Emerald can solo this fight with this script:

use(Emerald Presence:597) [!self.aura(Emerald Presence:823).exists]
use(Emerald Presence:597) [self.hpp<60 & self.aura(Emerald Presence:823).duration<3]
use(Emerald Dream:598) [self.hpp<50]
use(Breath:115)

Lornaa

wrote on 2021-01-31 04:55:05

you need to add a "pass if stunned" clause in there as if Gusteau or Dinner get their stuns in, your script won't go past that point

Pixxel

wrote on 2021-04-14 16:01:08

There you go:

use(Emerald Presence:597) [!self.aura(Emerald Presence:823).exists]
use(Emerald Presence:597) [self.hpp<60 & self.aura(Emerald Presence:823).duration<3]
use(Emerald Dream:598) [self.hpp<50]
use(Breath:115)
standby [ self.aura(Stunned:927).exists ]
standby [ self.aura(Polymorphed:822).exists ]

First attempt: My P/B Emerald Proto Whelp died on round 45, with Dinner having ~75% health left and bubbled.

Second attempt: EPW died on round 44, with Dinner at 100% and bubbled.

At this point I didn't feel a need to test a third time and continued on past EPW's death. It took both Chrominius and my third pet -- in this case, Lil' Tarecgosa -- to defeat Dinner.

In summary: It may be possible for EPW to solo the entire enemy team, but it's much more likely that it won't because of the RNG with Frog's Kiss. The script should be written accordingly.

Thanks for script, Pixxel. Was nice while EPW lasted. Other comments lead me to use a Dream Whelping, who also worked hard. Then Chrominius finally had a half health Dinner to finish off.

This strategy, in theory, could work. There's an RNG element and it takes a really long time. Tried out several times to no avail

yeesh, Frog Kiss landed almost every time. RNGeezus hates me. ;)
after a few tries, emerald kept dying while Dinner was at full HP. Repeated frog Kisses stuns and bubble didn't let any damage through. 25% chance to land kiss stun seems way off .

Falathiel wrote on 2017-05-23 15:17:04

Couldn't get 1 HP off Dinner with Emerald Proto, it kept poly-ing or blocking everything while I tried to maintain Proto's HP. Just sub in Chrominus and Howl + Bite + Surge of Power.

Gripwik wrote on 2017-05-24 08:02:10

Agreed. RIDICULOUS fight with Dinner. 25% poly chance my butt. like 95%. Spent the entire match trying to heal. Only times I could get breath off is when he bubbled.

Lol, exactly the same here: Dinner was without a scratch when Emerald finally died after juggling with Presence and Dream for 5 minutes ;-)
So, save yourself the time, let Dinner kill Emerald quickly and bring in Chrominius.

My Emerald Proto Whelp lasted until Dinner (no pun intended). First 2 breaths were blocked and then it was frogged. Swapped it out for a Nexus Whelpling in 2nd spot who made quick work of him with Arcane Storm and Mana Surge. Definitely an alternative for those who don't have Chrominius.

Amathriel wrote on 2017-01-24 06:34:40

Good XP from this if you can manage it. I used my lvl18 Emmigosa for the surge of power at the end and got 4050k XP without the safari hat -boosting her to lvl21 :)

smashfanDS wrote on 2017-01-24 03:13:31

Dream Whelpling works great too! 1/1/2

With a lot of the damage you take comes from DOTs, Toxic Skin (1/1/2) instead of Emerald Presense (1/2/2) really saps enemies' HP. Especially useful against the frog with its Swarm of Flies and Bubble :D

Cornellian wrote on 2016-09-28 00:38:58

Not difficult, but certainly long, drawn out, and a bit annoying because of Dinner. Definitely some RNG here, and I failed on my first try with this team (nexus whelpling as my third ringer dragon didn't really do me any good, so I brought in one with a flying-type move and ended up not needing it) due to dinner and his excessive frog kissing. Second time this strat worked like a charm.
