This strat may be garbage, but it worked for me when others didn't so I figured I'd share. Open to feedback!

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
RNG
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
Shop
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

after many failures on multiple strats, i used nightwreath watcher (2,2,2) Copperback etherwyrm (2,1,2) sentinels companion (2,2,1) and worked on second try, but still seriously rng

Did it on the first try, but yeah i was lucky, some enemy moves failed and my raven ended with 19 hp or so , but it worked xD

ability(Black Claw:919) [!enemy.aura(Black Claw:918).exists]

I made a couple of edits to your script to get me through this tough fight.

quit [self.aura(Asleep:498).exists & round=1]
quit [enemy(#1).active & round>4]
quit [enemy(#2).active & round>10]
ability(Call Darkness:256)
ability(Nocturnal Strike:517)
ability(Black Claw:919) [!enemy.aura(Black Claw:918).exists]
ability(Flock:581)
ability(Nevermore:522) [enemy(Brite:3005).active & !enemy.ability(#2).usable]

Thanks for the strat. A lot of luck is required, not an easy battle for sure.

Nemy

wrote on 2021-06-20 12:01:49

This strat doesn't work, Gilnean Raven could never kill last enemy. Used around 50 bandages, finally won when I used Sentinel's companion as Siggy wrote in another comment.

Siggy#1181

wrote on 2021-01-26 04:22:21

After 30 losses with the strat, I swapped my BB Gilnean Raven for a Sentinel's Companion (221), Soul Rush > Moonfire > Dark Talon. Got lucky with the stun and it was admittedly still close. Still need to get to the final enemy with full health on the third pet.

Nemy

wrote on 2021-06-20 11:58:58

This is what finally worked for me, after around 50 bandages... My B/B Gilnean Raven could never finish the last pet, P/S Sentinel's Companion finally did it after 7 tries when 3rd pet was stunned. Thank you!

IntrovertGenius

wrote on 2021-06-13 17:58:55

This strat takes a lot of luck. You have to hope for some crits to get through it.

Amrôth#2849

wrote on 2021-02-26 15:04:15

I know this strategy can work, but the RNG in this is so exhausting... dread hatchling falls asleep, restart, every hit 10% miss chance bc of call darkness, restart, getting critted ALL the time, restart. And even if you have lucky crits, it barely makes a difference since the next enemy will faceroll you anyway. Especially Brites Savage Talon crits 90% of the time against Gilnean Raven. This shit shouldn't be so hard. It's really not a viable strategy. Also, we get it Faryl, the pet battle area is obstruced by a flower and the hunt has the biggest balls. Now stfu. (edited)

wrote on 2021-02-23 17:32:09

Great strat. Any pet that can kill Star Tail or bring him low enough should work too, I used Fluttering Glimmerfly (2/X/X).

dawni

wrote on 2021-02-17 16:23:52

This is a credit to Ninsly
worked first try for me.
His/her steps all the way.
This worked for me with some modifications. I made Shadowbarb Hatchling my front-runner (Tremor, then Claw, then Void Cyclone, then pass and you die). I switched Sentinel's Companion out for Axebeak Hatchling (2,1,1) and brought him in 2nd (Rain dance, then Fly, then Peck until dead). This allowed my Etherwyrm to Arcane Storm to kill his 2nd pet and get his last pet low enough to Surge of Power before it could heal.
Thank you Ninsly <3

Luxaetern

wrote on 2021-01-25 22:27:33

Took about ten tries for this to work. I usually tap out before that many on a strat that isn't my own, but I was SO close so many times, I ended up taking several cracks at it. It wasn't until I got VERY lucky with my Gilnean Raven getting a crit on Brite with Call Darkness and killing it. One more round, and that damnable cyclone would have killed him for another loss.

wrote on 2021-01-01 06:07:22

even though i was able to get Nevermore off, still lost. Dont understand

EmCee88

wrote on 2021-01-22 05:56:13

You're still relying on the Cyclone hits not critting for a huge amount - Call Darkness doesn't guarantee that they'll miss and his crit chance is still super high. It's just RNG with this fight, as always. -_-

Morti

wrote on 2021-01-18 22:38:55

I got lucky (I think) on the second try; I ended up using Call Darkness again at the end as soon as it was up.

Swiftblade

wrote on 2021-01-17 04:53:09

Didn't work after 30 tries. Usually you don't even touch the last pet, not reliable. (edited)

JimmySmits

wrote on 2020-12-29 12:49:24

Didn't have Dread Hatchling so I used Crow. Took a couple tries due to the last fight. In both cases my Raven was full strength against the last pet. First time wasn't close, second time was easy. Not sure why.

Groovjin

wrote on 2020-12-29 13:54:50

it works with crow, but you will not finish off "Star Tail" with it. i was able to get it low enough to finish it off with Ikky Quills.

JonoS

wrote on 2021-01-09 07:30:31

I eventually managed to get this to work by replacing the Dread Hatchling with a Sentinel's companion and got some very lucky RNG - it was a real pain.

Somaloria wrote on 2021-01-07 19:50:36

the only way I had success with this strat is if gilnean raven gets a crit on one of his hits. if hatchling gets sleeped, restart, it must also survive the entire first pet so if i got hit 4 times by moth balls, i restarted, ikky doesnt have to live against the second pet, but if ikky can get a flock crit on his second hit that would be ideal. As advertised it is RNG HEAVY. but its doable

Chillis wrote on 2021-01-02 11:13:09

Tried 50+ times. its really rng based. Every turn needs to have the right rng. or it fails.
Please try something else

GreyShadow#1431

wrote on 2021-01-02 05:24:57

I restart the fight if my Dread Hatchling gets put to sleep.

Daedrynn

wrote on 2020-12-26 22:32:09

This took me 14 tries for it to work, and it's not because the strat is bad, it's because the "25% chance to sleep" on the very first move actually hits about 80% of the time, so I got slept 9 times in a row. The other three fails were due to crits. So this is just really heavy RNG like all the strats for Faryl. His team is way overpowered, so I would recommend that people skip him for Family Exorcist, along with Rotgut. The other 9 tamers will fulfill the achievement.

rikapi

wrote on 2021-01-02 02:39:46

hahah, my thing in my 15 tries (with 2 sleeps) was that the "10%" chance to miss Nevermore happened 9 out of 13 times (the other three fails at Brite were double crit, 8hp left on Brite, and raven dying from cyclone damage after the killing blow)

so moral of story is, if you don't want to give up keep trying like us... but if you value your time yeah skip this guy >_<

Xeno#2520

wrote on 2021-01-01 19:03:00

Worked 2nd try, still very close.

Vettir#1314

wrote on 2020-12-29 17:14:58

Two big sources of RNG here. Star Tail can crit or sleep the Dread Hatchling, and Brite can crit on its Savage Talon.

Jencathen#1392

wrote on 2020-12-29 13:59:11

Took 3 tries due to the RNG. This is just a very difficult fight. It was the only strat that worked for me.
