Finally managed to win this totally frustrating battle. Snozz hits so damn hard and he doesn't give you much opportunity with his damn portal, and healing.Went and got a HP NFD. , which made things a little less difficult. Chrominius had less then 100 health when Snozz finally bit the dust, or more like the grass.

Thanks for the strategy! It worked after 3 tries. I used a H/P NFD, and H/H Chromium. As I had neither Nightmare Whelping nor Skaley nor Infinite Whelping, I had almost no way of getting this final fight done for the achievements. Just before I almost spent over 50000g for a needed pet, I decided to try my luck today with the drop RNG. Luckily Nightmare Whelping dropped only after 4 runs:)

Very high RNG, but assuming Snozz whiffs the flank hits every time, it can work... many bandages later. You can never miss under darkness, Snozz can never crit, and he can never get more than two hits of flank per round with H/P Nether Faerie, H/P Nightmare Whelp, and H/H Chrominius. If any of those occurred, the fight failed. (edited)

Thank you! This finally succeeded after several fails with the NFD/NW/TCS team had failed. ~ I did need to use the H/P NFD I'd picked up for the previous strat (instead of my usual P/P), but thanks to some extremely lucky misses I finally won!

I swapped Turn 5 & 6 and won before even getting to Turn 10. Probably RNG miss because of Blindness, but still would have had plenty of wiggle room once Chrominius was swapped in.

Unless your Nether Faerie Dragon has >=1401 HP you will have to reset if Snozz hits 3 times and you die before you get to use Life Exchange.

There are just too many instances in this strat where a three-tap of flank will kill your team. I've gotten to the last step on several occasions and finally gave up on this team.

You do need the H/P Nether Faerie Dragon to eliminate the RNG of dying to a 3rd shot from Flank. Sprite Darter and Yu'la don't have a breed option that will work.
