Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
Breed
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Beat it with Iron Starlette used 2 of them it died halfway through second Iron Starlette. With Wind-Up and Supercharge a few times and some Powerballs. Very easy and fast.

got kind of of close but it worked, strat and script. thankyou

sasas wrote on 2021-07-22 13:59:17

Worked fine, used a random green chitterspine which made it so i had to scratch a few more times

Cloud

fight was really close but worked , so did script

I updated the TD script to prefer Scratch if the enemy has Shattered Defenses:
standby [ enemy.aura(Undead:242).exists ]
use(Curse of Doom:218)
use(Haunt:652)
use(Black Claw:919) [!enemy.aura(Black Claw:918).exists]
use(Scratch:119) [enemy.aura(Shattered Defenses:542).exists]
use(Swarm:706)
change(next)

wrote on 2021-05-12 05:16:03

I don't know why, but the script doesn't work for me - I always have to manually scratch with the last pet.

My chitterspine was damage 275 exactly, he died but just needed to bring the fly in for a last attack.

(OP) Lazey

wrote on 2020-11-27 12:23:41

I guess you didn't have another breed, because a ">275" restriction doesn't mean you should use S/S breed with exactly 275 Power ;-)

Volante wrote on 2021-01-17 14:00:39

Been using the S/S for a while now (10, 15ish runs) and though it does always die, the Glowfly has always beaten Gorgemouth. The one time Glowfly died, it was the same time Gorgemouth died for real after his special wore off and the Valk had revived by then so still a win.

Jana wrote on 2021-04-20 15:27:02

Using only S/S breed as well. Never failed.

Sigsbee

wrote on 2020-09-02 22:47:58

DId not have access to all my pets on beta, so I subbed Ikky (black claw + flock) for Chitterspine Skitterling and had no issues.

Projectstfu wrote on 2020-12-21 00:57:58

I didn't have Chitterspine Skitterling and used Ikky like you suggested. worked perfectly.

Yav wrote on 2021-02-23 11:01:28

Also didn't have full level Skitterling so used Ikky. :) Worked really well!

IMHO I would use Haunt over Holy Ascension - its a much better fight.

Ehm... ;-)

Dougula#1873

wrote on 2021-01-17 15:16:30

Probably unnecessary, but as a fail safe I used Effervescent Glowfly's Cocoon strike in the undead round just to ensure I survived if there were any RNG or Crit surprises - there wasn't any but ya never know. THIS SRAT WORKS WELL (edited)

AusChameleon wrote on 2020-12-20 20:30:14

My Chitterspine is SS, still worked, just had to bring in Glowfly to swarm, then on the undead round, I did cocoon strike so he couldn't hit me, wouldn't matter if he did, because the Val'Kyr would have just come in and I would win anyway.
So a couple extra steps and still a win. Thanks.

Verges wrote on 2020-12-17 11:38:28

Works fine with an S/S breed Chitterspine, just needed 2 Scratches

Samsemilia

wrote on 2020-11-27 08:07:08

works like a charm.

Kalaida wrote on 2020-11-27 03:04:28
