Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

This worked for me first try with the provided TD Script and:
Dark Phoenix Hatchling - HS
Phoenix Hatchling - SS
Spirit of Summer - BB

Substituted Dark Phoenix with Lava Crab and started with Survival. Lava Crab comes in at the end and depending on whether cannon is on cooldown or not can do Survival (or not) and then Conflagrate

Vyera

wrote on 2021-06-21 18:29:06

Used Ominous Flame 1-2-1 in second slot because I didn't have searing scorchling. Conflagrate, Scorched Earth, Burn. Did the other 2 pets as guide suggested.

Kaly wrote on 2017-10-29 22:46:26

Don't have Searing Scorchling, so I swapped out Lil'Ragnaros 1-2-2. Did strat as normal. Once it got to Rag, used conflag, then Sons of the Flame, Sulfuras Smash twice. Didn't even need the third pet.

Anything with Geyser
Fel Flame 121
Level Pet

Geyser
Scorched Earth
Conflag on CD
Fill with Burn.

(before he rebirths, save conflag if you can get away with just doing Burn instead, this might screw over level pet tho. not like it's a ton of XP tho.)

Sherri wrote on 2017-09-07 15:53:22

Terrible Turnip 1/1/2

Sons of the Root. 1 - 3
Leech Seed 4
Weakening Blow Till Dead

Hatespark the Tiny 2/1/1

Flamethrower
Conflag
He will usually kill you, but if you live to Deep Burn do it.

Ragnaros 1/2/2

If it killed Hatespark with Cannon, use:

Conflag
Sulfuras Smash until Minixis is dead.

Really easy boss for these pets.

Credit to Jang for Terrible Turnip idea, you can also use Molten Corgi with Puppies of the Flame and Superbark.

Kerigann (Natalie) wrote on 2017-09-24 02:38:14

Thank you, this worked for me. I didn't have some of the pets leveled that most people had listed. For some reason had these though.

Ederhammer wrote on 2018-03-21 09:17:31

Subbed Crazy Carrot 1/1/1 used Blistering Cold then followed on with Hatespark strat you did didn't even need Rag TY

Jangeoffry wrote on 2017-09-03 21:50:43

Don't have Dark Phoenix Hatchling leveled, so used Terrible Turnip (1,1,2):
Turn 1-3: Sons of the Root
Turn 4: Weakening Blow
Turn 5: Leech Seed
Turn 6-n: Wakening Blow until Terrible Turnip dies.

If you want, change the order of the last 2, as Searing Scorchling have higher attack

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-03 23:07:07

Thanks for the suggestion! I also have not yet leveled Dark Phoenix hatchling. I used your suggestion combined with Mia's suggestion to substitute Pandaren Fire Spirit for Searing Scorchling.

SaclemAT wrote on 2018-03-14 08:16:08

Thanks for this! Didn't have a dark phoenix hatchling levelled, so this worked well :)

DJ wrote on 2017-09-03 05:19:00

Crazy Carrot (x-x-1), Ominous Flame (x-x-2) and a third pet with immolate and conflagrate and a third elemental attack (I used Fel Flame). Apply, blistering cold, pet dies. Bring in Ominous Flame and use forboding curse. Bring in your third pet and use immolate, conflagrate and finish off, it's possible you need to bring in Ominous Flame again.

Optimusbeef wrote on 2017-09-03 14:43:40

Excellent strategy! I also used scorched earth with the ominous flame... same result. Beautiful!

Cloudia wrote on 2017-09-24 14:31:46

Did it with 2 teams - easy one (Blazehound and Molten corgi both with pupies of the flame for block and fel flame)

Wild pets Team - 2 beavers and water waveling
1. Stormstruck beaver 2/2/2 (From Stormheim, Broken isle)
2. Water waveling 2/2/1 (Zul'Drak, Northerend)
3. Thundertail beaver 2/2/1 (Isle of Thunder, Pandaria)

Stormstruck beaver:
Beaver Dam
Jolt
Switch to Water waveling
Geyzer
Frost nova
Ice lance x 2
Water waveling dies (Geyzer hits and stun Minixis)
Switch to Stormstruck beaver
Jolt
Beaver Dam
Jolt
Switch to Thundertail beaver
Lightning sgield
Thunderbolt
Tail swap (Minixis dies)
Minixis comes back once again and may kills the Thundertail beaver
If your beaver is alive - Tail swap (then it will die)
If/when it is dead => Stormstruck comes in
Lighning shield (If you had second Tail swap, you don't need this turn)
Jolt

For those without Searing Scorchling, Spirit of Summer has the same moveset :)

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-09 12:00:26

Terrible turnip for first pet, 112, use sons of the root first. phoenix hatchling and fel flame as second and third and the strat above.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-11-04 00:03:22

I don't have a Searing Scorching, unfortunately. This alternative start worked the first time for me. Thank you!

Anonymous wrote on 2017-10-24 07:49:03

Used Snaplasher 221 as 2nd pet, stun seed, leech seed, then solar beam, worked fine for me

Anonymous wrote on 2017-10-12 15:10:04

I didn't have Searing Scorchling, nor any of the other replacements leveled, so I used Lava Crab (1,1,1) Confligrate, then Burn until he died.

Jagûar

wrote on 2017-09-03 16:25:23

For those not having the Searing Scorchling or have it leveled, there are a few substitutes with the same required moveset.
Personally I used my Pandaren Fire Spirit, but there are also: Spirit of Summer and Phoenix Hatchling.
Technically with some good RNG, one could substitute the Searching Scorchling with the Fel Flame and use any lvl 25 rare elemental in the 3rd slot that has Burn.

Lilyoptra wrote on 2017-09-06 21:48:38

Used 2nd Fel Flame to replace that darn scorchling for which rng has not been kind to me.
They are very easy to get from Outlands or Tanaan Jungle. Worked perfectly.

Haven't leveled either Pandaren Fire Spirit nor Searing Scorchling so Molten Corgi (1-no matter-1) was the choice for the second pet. Amusingly when he died, Minixis had 20 hp after his first death. Time puppies of the flame for Minixis' one-shot ability.

Isolei wrote on 2017-09-05 18:25:14

I used Molten Corgi as well instead of Searing Scrochling, and it worked perfectly.

Vylinn wrote on 2017-08-31 16:51:30

I didnt have an elemental pet with Dark Rebirth leveled, so I subbed in Autumnal Sproutling (1, 1,1). Opened with Sons of the root, afterward used lash until sproutling died, and did the last two with conflagrate, immolate, and then burn on repeat until dead. Only barely had to use the last pet, got off one Conflagrate.

Kiolna wrote on 2017-08-30 09:00:09

I made a major mistake in my own strategy when I did this one and threw in a lava crab. He worked really good as a sacrifice. Then fel flame went in and I used immolate, conflagrate and burn until fel flame died. Then I sent in nightshade sproutling and I cannot rave about how good this pet is more. Because the laser had killed my flame I just used lash while the enemy was cooling down. Lash killed it and it came back and then I just hit it with fist of the Forrest and goodbye rocket ship .

Mysticmojo wrote on 2017-08-29 15:24:41
