Lost first battle, won second. Good enough for this tough matchup.

Replaced ghostshell crab with 2, 1, 1 Abyssal Slitherling. Had to use dive with Puddle Terror when Slitherling died

Ghorloar wrote on 2017-03-12 13:16:16

shamelesly stolen from Wowhead, but this it the one that finally worked for me:

"By TikiTime (1,612 – 3·11) on 2016/09/08 (Patch 7.0.3)
My team for Aquatic Acquiescence:

Mongoose Pup (Must be faster than Sir Murkeston) 1/2/2
Puddle Terror (Must be faster than Sir Murkeston) 2/2/2
Ghostshell Crab 2/2/1

It worked wonderfully for me, but I only used it once; so maybe it works or maybe I just got lucky.

Mongoose Pup against Sir Murkeston: Dive first, then Ferocious Bite until his next hit will kill you, then use Survival (Greatest Foe will swap in). Ferocious Bite on Greatest Foe, then Dive. Mongoose Pup will die after Dive hits.

Swap in Puddle Terror. Dive and then Punch until Greatest Foe dies. Sir Murkeston swaps back in, use clobber to stun him.

Now, because he's stunned, you know that Coach is going to be swapped in, so changed Puddle Terror for Ghostshell Crab. Coach will fly, so you use Bubble. Use Grasp until Bubble falls off, then use Spirit Spikes and Coach will kill himself by attacking you.

Get whatever attacks you can in with Ghostshell Crab before Sir Mirkeston kills him, then finish with Puddle Terror.

This strat worked perfectly for me.

The Spawn of G'nathus takes out Sir Mukeston easily with some health left, which was good because I had to use G'nathus again to finish off Foe! Be sure to time your Puddle Terror's Dives to counter Foe's Darkflame, which hits hard! Anyway, I like this strategy! Thank-you!

Gragolf wrote on 2019-02-17 12:39:58

This strat is way better than the reccomended one with the Mud Jumper. Got it on my first try with this, wasted 10 bandages with the other one.

Mot

Maybe bad luck, but my Crab dies with Coach. Tried two times.

Justin wrote on 2017-10-03 00:15:07

If your ghost shell crab doesn't get hit 3x during Spirit Spikes, restart the fight.

Belle

My ghost shell crab hits but dies to. First hit can't be a hit because of the lift-off from Coach.

I'm so happy I found this site, pretty much every strat ive see used from it on any fight has done the job I win they lose and I'm just a little closer to these achievements each time

I didn't have the Puddle Terror, so I used a Sifang Otter S/S breed (2/1/2).
I followed the strategy up to the ennemy Coach part: at the turn 5+, I don't use shell shield and just use Grasp once more. If the crab dies, I swap back to the Spawn of G'nathus to use Jolt, this should kill the Coach. At this point, Greatest Foe comes in. I use dive (should avoid Darkflame) then Paralyzing Shock. The spawn of G'narthus dies around here. I swap to the Sifang Otter being, having a superior speed. I use dive to avoid Darkflame, and continue with Gnaw to finish the dragon.

I didn't have a spawn of g so i swithed it out for a mud jumper 111

Ok, I was having major trouble with this. I stuck with it though because I like Murkeston not swapping out like a gimp. What ended up working for me was the following (included are Galv's turns too):
Turn 1: Paralyzing his: Falling Murloc
Turn 2: Jolt his: stunned
Turn 3+4: Dive his: Righteous, then Blessed Hammer (misses!)
Turn 5: Jolt his: dies
Coach comes in
Turn 6: Swap to Ghostshell his: Lift off up
Turn 7: Spirit Spikes his: Lift off hits
Turn 8: Shell Shield his: Adrenaline Rush
Turn 9: Grasp his: Thrash (weakened from shield!)
Turn 10: Grasp his: Thrash (still weak!)
Turn 11: Grasp his: Thrash (still weak!)
Turn 12: Spirit Spikes his: Lift off up
Turn 13: you die but Spikes still hit! his: Lift off hits
Bring in Spawn
Turn 14+15: Dive his: Adrenaline Rush then Thrash (misses!) and dies!
Greatest Foe comes in
Turn 16: Paralyzing Shock + dies his: Darkflame
Puddle Terror time!
Turn 17: Nature's Ward (no debuff yo!) his: Healing Flame
Turn 18: Dive his: Breath (misses!)
Turn 19: Dive hits his: Breath
Turn 20: Punch his: Darkflame (debuff :()
Turn 21: Punch his: Healing Flame
Turn 22: Punch his: Breath
Turn 23: Punch his: DIES!

The change in moves at Coach vs Ghostshell stopped my Ghostshell from dying way too early and then allowed G'nathus to soak the first Darkflame debuff.
Haven't bothered to double check this though as I'm only after the achieves atm and can't waste the dailies :P

Me again! Turns out I've done Sir Galvpants for all of the achievements, so I repeated my modified strat as above and it worked again. :)

He didn't kill Coach so i brought back the spawn of g'nathus to avoid fly with dive and finish it. Then damaged the dragon and killed him with 2 punches

My Ghostshell Crab always died to Coach (even popping shellshield early) Finished off Coach with Spawn who then dies to Greatest Foe , then took puddle of terror from step 2.

Amynnassa wrote on 2017-01-21 18:09:30

Mine did too until I started using Shell Shield instead of Grasp while the Spirit Spikes were up. Then it got a bit easier.

I was having to much trouble finding a team that had all the proposed battle pets. ( I need to do some focused leveling.) This worked for me hope it helps :)

Emerald Turtle (used balance) (1,2,1)
Enter Puddle Terror (Attack/Speed)(2,2,2)
Enter Chuck (balance) (1,1,2)

Start with Emerald Turtle
Sir Murkeston Enters the Fray
*Healing Wave (heals the first hit by Sir Murkeston)
Sir Murkeston Tags in Coach
*Emerald Bite
*Emerald Bite
*Healing Wave
*Emerald Bite until Coach K/O's
Sir Murkeston Comes in for one round
*Bite or Headbutt until K/O
Sir Murkeston tags in Greatest Foe
Enter Puddle Terror (Attack/Speed)(2,2,2)
(Note: Don't Stun it will bring in Sir Murkeston)
*Dive to avoid Darkflame
*Punch until Greatest Foe is K/O'd
Sir Murkeston Enters the Fray
*Stun
*Punch or dive do damage until K/O
*Puddle Terror K/O
Enter Chuck
*Rip
*Blood in the Water

Sir Murkeston K/O

(I tried to remember exactly what I did. If I messed up I will correct) :)

BEAUTIFUL STRAT! Worked wonderfully! On the last guy, I used dive to avoid his big hit, which took him down perfectly to two hit him with Toothy (Chuck's brother). I think any of the Shattrath Fishing pets works here.

Infin wrote on 2017-01-21 16:44:13

Worked Perfectly, recommend as alternative strat. First try success. Only alteration to the strategy was to try and use my avoidance abilities against major attacks (i.e. healed when coach went up for lift-off, dive to avoid darkflame, stun galveston upfront or after he uses righteous inspiration).

Highly recommend as an alternative strategy.

Archelirion wrote on 2016-10-06 23:54:54

I got through this (barely) with Spawn of G'nathus (211), Mud Jumper (111) and Young Mutant Warturtle (222). Started with Spawn, Dive, jolt, thunderbolt, jolt. He swapped to The Greatest Foe and killed Spawn, then i brought out YMWarturtle. Torando Punch, then just Jab, using Smokebomb when his Darkflame came off cooldown. After the dragon died, Murk came back out and finished off my turtle (using Jab and Torando Punch on cooldown until death), then i brought out the Mudskipper with his bird. Bubble, Mudslide on CD, then Water Jet. It was close, but successful since i didn't have the Puddle Terror leveled.

Sarth wrote on 2016-11-09 19:04:29

I tried a diferent strategy with the same 3 pets (Gnathus, Terror and Ghostshell) and I managed to kill all with 2 pets alive. Here's what I did:
G'nathus (2-1-2) ; Ghostshell Crab (2-1-1) ; Puddle Terror (2-1-2)
Turn 1 > Paralysing Shock (Sir Murkeston cannot run away now :D )
Turn 2 > Jolt (he is stuned anyway)
Turn 3+4 > Dive
Turn 5 > Jolt (finishing Sir Murkeston with G'nathus still alive)

>>>Coach moves in <<<
swap to the Ghostshell Crab (Coach flies up)
Turn 1 > Grasp
Turn 2 > Spirit Spikes (Coach uses the speed buffing attack first)
Turn 3 > Grasp (Thanks to spikes Coach is almost killed)
Turn 4 > from here on is up to you to use either Shell Shield or Grasp, to kill Coach off for all, since the Crab will die anyway on the Drake's first attack

>>>Greatest Foe moves in <<<
Turn 1 > if your crab is still alive (as it should) PASS, or use any attack, but since Foe is faster, it will kill the crab anyway
Bring Puddle Terror in
Turn 2 > Punch
Turn 3 > Nature's Ward
Turn 4 > Punch
Turn 5+6 > Dive (very important that you save this to use here, so you dodge the attack that killed the crab here and hit the drake in the face next)
Turn 7+ > Punch Foe in the Face until the Fight is won
If Terror dies first, bring in G'nathus and finish with Jolt.

This strat will work since all 3 pets have only one breed each. :D

Anonymous wrote on 2016-11-09 21:32:25

FIRST TRY YOUR THE MAN! When greatest Foe came in, my crab still had 10 health left lol. I used grasp again on that turn. My terror also didn't die! Makes this fight 10x easier rather than this RNG strategy listed! BTW don't write so much next time. just abilities like Xu-Fu posts.

Jen wrote on 2016-11-09 21:52:03

My Ghostshell Crab was only level 24, he failed the main strat but managed to pull off yours. He wasn't alive for Greatest Foe so I used Gnathus and avoided the main hit, then had to time Puddle terrors dive for when he had the buff but all worked okay.

Sarth wrote on 2016-11-10 09:38:10

Thanks, I was thinking of posting a brand new strat, but since it was with the same 3 pets in here, I just wanted to put all the rounds since changing the first pet strat would change all others. Even if the crab dies before the drake, it's okay, and since puddle and G'nathus are faster, you can Dive as you swap them in.

Nice strat.

but Clobber actually worked better than Nature's Ward, at least for me.
and i used Bubble on Crab, to soak some Dragon cooldowns and scratch him a bit.

Trenchwix wrote on 2016-12-08 18:20:57

I followed the spawn of g'nathus part then switched to Emerald Turtle (1,2,1) hit with emerald bite, then healing wave, then emerald bite until it died. Switched back to my spawn to finish off Coach (countered his lift off with my dive).

Switched to Young Mutant Warturtle 2,2,2 (I started playing just before Legion, so I didn't have a puddle terror). Used tornado punch to start , a couple of Jabs, another tornado punch when it was off cooldown, and threw in a smoke bomb on my next to last turn (just to be safe, but I still had lots of health), finished off with jab. From what I've been reading about the puddle terror strat being iffy, this might be better - especially for people who didn't do the menagerie achievement!

Macgam wrote on 2016-12-08 14:26:46

Hearte wrote on 2016-12-08 12:53:44

Young Mutant Warturtle (2, 2, 2) as the third pet here absolutely destroys. Use Smoke Bomb when the dragon has it's big damage ability up, and otherwise use Tornado Punch on CD and Jab as filler.

Anonymous wrote on 2016-12-08 14:17:51

I didn't have puddle terror and I used your suggestion. It worked wonderfully. All it needed was tornado punch and two jabs. Thank you

Carrotboy wrote on 2016-10-26 00:06:50

Emerald Turtle works instead of Ghostshell crab - Emerald Bite hard counters Coach

Anonymous wrote on 2016-09-22 20:28:00

Sifang Other 2/2/2
Puddle Terror 2/1/2
Spawn of G'nathus 2/1/1

This team made it easy. Start with Otter and Dive. Then 2x Gnaw, then Survival. Gnaw again and you will still be alive for another dive.

Jirki88 wrote on 2016-10-06 20:51:13

I didn't find the Ghostshell Crab very effective - his Grasp just don't do enough damage. Spawn of G'nathus and Puddle Terror can do their job if following that guide, but there's a better third pet: Tiny Blue Carp, using Mana Surge. It wrecks Coach in a much more reliable manner (esp if Puddle Terror soaked the Lift-Off, but it works even if he didn't).

Anonymous wrote on 2016-10-06 21:23:03

The trick is to use Spirit Spikes against Thrash which completely wrecks Coach. After that you'll only need one or two more Grasps to finish him

Aranesh

wrote on 2016-10-07 02:56:37

The Carp is indeed very effective, but also quite rare / expensive :/

Jirki88 wrote on 2016-10-08 23:14:40

Anon: Yeah, Spirit Spikes is effective... Just not if Coach just hits twice. Then you're sitting there and having to do a lot more than just two Grasp to kill him, which the crab don't seem to manage but rather gets killed. The carp is a lot more reliable IMO at least, though as Xufu says, it's a bit rare/expensive.

Arctur wrote on 2016-09-23 06:20:54

Was able to complete subbing in magical crawdad (2, 2, 2) for crab - keep shell shield up vs coach, use wish when he goes up for a dive to heal after, and otherwise surge him to death.

DrJ wrote on 2016-09-26 05:27:05

Saryas wrote on 2016-10-08 01:35:19

Magical Crawdad was awesome! Worked perfectly fine from first try :) Also the murloc did not die from puddle terror, but the crawdad finished it with 1 surge.

Anonymous wrote on 2016-10-07 23:57:42

This fight has convinced me that you know your stuff despite all the folks challenging you on it. I failed like 10 times before I got it due to random factors but every other suggestion in the comments that was supposedly easier required a fishing pet and fishing is too tedious for me. This is just a really random fight against difficult odds but I promise that it works if everything goes your way.

Hrobertgar wrote on 2016-10-07 22:14:03

This fight is much more variable than you would expect. Murkelson doesn't always do the swap out for the 3rd ability. If this happens, then I found that Coach comes in next, and spirit crab work great - let Coach use his flyup to finish off Spawn - then send in Crab and use Spirit spikes. Coach will almost kill himself with multi attack against spikes. once Coach is down, Puddle can finish off Greatest Foe

Anonymous wrote on 2016-09-23 06:12:35

Aranesh

The fight itself has not changed, it is just a very hard fight and there are several random factors involved.

Decimal wrote on 2016-09-08 00:02:55

He doesn't swap to Greatest Foe more than half the time, and when he does Puddle Terror still dies before the third pet. This needs some work.

Aranesh

wrote on 2016-09-17 06:43:39

Aye, it's still one of the best strategies I could come up with. I'm hoping for clever people to figure out something better :)

Nivmizzet wrote on 2016-09-09 03:53:31

This encounter seems to have a bit of randomness to it as Sir Murkeston will sometimes be able to swap out before your Spawn of G'Nathus can perform his Paralyzing Shock attack.

I was able to defeat this encounter for the Aquatic Acquiescence achievement with Spawn of G'Nathus and Puddle Terror (as described above in the main strategy) and I simply finished with an Eternal Strider spamming Pump (but I would assume any aquatic pet with the Pump ability can work). It came down to the very wire with my Eternal Strider at like 30 health and I think I may have gotten a lucky crit in earlier in the match, but it got it done.

Solitha wrote on 2016-09-09 03:17:27

In all my cases, Sir Murkeston has NOT swapped for Paralyzing Shock, meaning my Spawn is stuck with him.

Aranesh

wrote on 2016-09-17 06:43:00

That is because of the varying damage from Dive in the very beginning. I put a note up, but sadly this fight is still one of the hardest against Sir Galveston :/

Sela wrote on 2016-09-17 04:24:48

This fight is difficult to predict because Galveston does not always switch in his pets in the same order. It is also very RNG dependent since Coach can easily crit your aquatic pet and one shot it, or take it way too close to death. I used Magical Crawdad (1, 1, 2), Young Mutant Warturtle (2, 2, 2), and Moonshell Crab (1, 1, 2). Young Mutant Warturtle really destroys Greatest Foe. Use Smoke bomb to avoid Darkflame and wait to use Tornado Punch until after Greatest Foe has healed.

Aranesh

wrote on 2016-09-17 06:42:11

I made a note of it in the fight. It is indeed heavy on RNG, sadly. But Magical Crawdad is not exactly an easy to obtain pet, so I'm not going to change it here.

Deadeyeye wrote on 2016-09-17 03:26:22

Subbed in an Emerald Turtle (H/H with 1 1 1) for the crab and managed to finish the battle.

Gunnel wrote on 2016-09-16 20:58:53

Had to reset the dive a lot, got unlucky once, but then it worked, nice strat.

Sohvi wrote on 2016-09-08 20:20:14

I used this strategy with a few changes. The Puddle Terror has to use dive on the whelpling or he will kill the Terror too quickly (so I dodged the third attack with dive). This leaves Puddle Terror with around 100hp so he can smack the murloc one time and that leaves the murloc around 250hp. Ghostshell Crab wins the bird easily if you spike Thrash. Then your Crab has one move before the murloc kills him so you have an 80% chance of winning as spirit claws has 80% hit chance.

Anonymous wrote on 2016-09-08 00:01:41

I managed to somewhat use this strategy but I had to change a lot around and used a different third pet.

Pet 1: Dive, Jolt, Paralyzing Shock (Spawn dies) (He swapped in Greatest Foe)
Pet 2: Punched Greatest Foe to death
Pet 3 (Subbed Sea Calf): Surge, Submerge and the rest of the time I alternated Feed and Surge.

Maybe not the most effective but it worked for me.

Anonymous wrote on 2016-09-08 00:07:56

Also, you probably could have used the third pet mentioned here but I had changed it and didn't swap back.

Cjspice wrote on 2016-09-07 03:40:54

Does this even work for Aqua Acquiescence? Puddle Terror is an Elemental pet... therefore it isn't an Aquatic pet which ruins the whole purpose of the achievement

Decimal wrote on 2016-09-08 00:02:22

It's Aquatic. It has a move which turns it into an Elemental typing for the fight for a few rounds, but that does not affect the achievement.

Anonymous wrote on 2016-09-07 04:46:43
