High XP
Level-Up
You can use this strategy to carry a lower level pet to give it some experience.
Breed
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
TD Script
The strategy offers a TD script that can be used with the TD Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
This strategy has been built to be as fast as possible.
The strategy takes a while. Sit back, get yourself a warm drink and relax the scenery.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
You want a strategy that does the job in one shot? This might be the one for you!
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
This table shows the level increase for completing the fight with level 25 pets and one carry pet.

Very clever idea to annihilate Syd’s Bubbles with Flurry (a 3-attack move)!

Worth noting that with a Mechanical Scorpid of speed 273, this strat won't work
With the 289 Mechanical Scorpid, you have room of error for one extra move before you die (or even survive a crit)
With the 325 Mechanical Scorpid, no room for error at all (will just be enough to kill Otto)
Also note that your L'il Bling can easily beat Syd and bring Mr. Pointy under 1000hp ... just try not to bring Mr. Pointy under 800hp ;)

Soak?!??!
You swap in the carry after L'll Bling dies
and then swap to Mechanical Scorpid, so if soak means take another round of dmg,
the Mech Scorpid gets hit.
The advantage of this strategy over the Fox/Iron Starlette is that with a 289 speed Mechanical Scorpid, you have room of error of surviving a crit.
Even with poor RNG against you, this strat should work.

"You swap in the carry after L'll Bling dies"

When exactly?? vs which enemy ability??

The only way to bring level 1 after Syd is dead, is when Dino uses his shield (his 1st turn) but then Whirlpool kills your level 1

(Unless you kill Syd before 2nd Whirlpool (u need crits for that))

But didnt realise how OP L'll Bling is vs Syd!!

Im workin on some tactic with L'll Bling :P

Perhaps the wording of "swap" might mean something different to you.
When one of your pet dies, you get to choose which of your remaining pet(s)
will become active ... call this a free swap or as the original poster of the Fox/Iron Starlette wrote:
Howl - your Fox dies
Bring in your Iron Starlette -> same context as my swap to carry

In my strat, after L'il Bling dies, you swap (or if you like the word, bring in) your carry.
Your first and only move of your carry is then to swap to the Mechanical Scorpid so it does not get hit

Its RNG, but sure, you can avoid the Extra Plating if you feel you don't need it. There are actually at lest 2 other strats to finish this tamer with the pets L'il Bling and Mechanical Scorpid. i.e. you can start with your carry, then pass and then swap to L'il Bling. Another strategy would be to time his ability Inflation just before it dies on Mr. Pointy (similar to strat of a Fox's Howl or the Murder ability with Crow) to create the double dmg debuff and swap your carry late in the game when fighting Otto using Blinding Poison. More solns with the L'il Bling/Mechanical Scorpid? ... probably.

26 rounds fight (personally i prefere quick battles, but... was so worth it!!)

Tested feeew times, and it actually works very often, unless u are very unlucky with crits from enemy team.

as for your 2nd pet, finish with ANY 25 level Flying pet with Explode (or whatever pet with Explode, just higher speed than Otto)

3rd pet- level 1 (gets all the exp when you explode)

1 ability away from SOLOING whole fight!

So if anybody cares...

-----------------------------------------------------------

Hyjal Wisp 2,1,1 / ANY 25 level pet with Explode / Level 1 Pet

AB- Arcane Blast, Eva-Evanescence (obviously) :P

vs 1st enemy pet
AB, Eva, 2xAB, Wish, AB, Eva, 3xAB

(if u finished Syd with 2xAB instead of 3, you have to redo the fight >.<)

vs 2nd enemy pet
AB, Eva, Wish, 4xAB

vs 3rd enemy pet
Eva, Wish, 3xAB, Eva, 2xAB

Finish with ANY 25 level pet with Explode.

------------------------------------------------------------

Doesnt always work (same as Worg/Fox strategy) 1 unlucky Crit and you are dead!

My P/P Worg actually died to Syd's crit 4 times in a row yesterday (wtf ?!?!) :D

Used your Wisp Strat till Mr Pointy died, then brought in +10 levelling pet, swapped back to Wisp, then finished off fight with my usual Iron Starlette strat.

Have only tried the above once mind you, but fight was doing my head in, but will test to make sure.

Hyjal Wisp is a bit longer fight than Fox/Worg but Wisp is very reliable!

When u swap to Starlette just do this and your level 1 will get all the exp.

Sure, no problem! If u want :P

Just try to make the strategy as fast as possible then, aka bring Starlette when Mr Pointy dies.
That would be 23 rounds afaik.

I can do that again 2morrow when im not saved, and waste even more time to make detailed strategy for this 1, which is not even top 3 and just so slow :D

All i wanted was to try to solo this stupid fight with Hyjal Whisp!!
(if only Wisp had more HP or Power.... aka 1 more round) :(

SO basically full tactic i do now is:

Dazzling Dance --> Flurry until Syd is dead
Mr. Pointy comes in
Howl - your Fox dies
Bring in your Iron Starlette
Wind-Up --> Wind-Up - Mr. Pointy dies.

(all the same so far)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and now the change:

Otto comes in:
3x Powerball (2x if one of the Powerballs was CRIT) --> Wind-Up --> Wind-Up --> Explode

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Explanation: With P/P Iron Starlette if you Powerball 2x and none of em crits, then after your Explode Otto stays alive on 2 Health :<

Didnt try other breeds, but should be the same, OR even worse.

Just before reset myself; that looks interesting. Wouldn't putting Wind-Up before Powerballs (or at least one) be beneficial enough to be on a safer side, as first use of Wind-Up buffs all user's damage by 10%? That still doesn't take a crit into consideration, though.

Nope.

Powerball before Dazzling Dance Ends, to keep your Speed Advantage.
(without Dazzling Dance OR single Powerball Iron Starlette is slower than Cow)

2nd Powerball to wait untill your dmg done reduce debuff ends before u use Wind-Up

3rd Powerball in a row to make it less complicated than: 2x Powerball --> Wind-Up --> Powerball --> Wind-Up

(Both rotations work, but u need to crit with one ability before using Explode)

Otherwise with 2x Powerball --> Wind-Up --> Wind-Up --> Explode and NO CRITS you leave Cow on 2 HP :(

Sadly, this is not correct for P/S Starlette. Having the same health as P/P one, and dealing less damage, she leaves the player in the situation identical to the one you mentioned, even with three Powerballs.
https://i.imgur.com/dsSnxRt.png

Otto has 281 speed. Any Starlette, even with base 244, will be faster after only one Powerball. What I was suggesting:
9. Powerball
10. Wind-Up
11-12. Powerball x2
13. Wind-Up (14. Explode)
leaves Otto with 264 HP for P/S Starlette before the explosion. Would a P/P Starlette kill it too early?

Evil wrote on 01/08/2018

What do u mean "2 early" ? My P/P Starlete always kills Otto in 5 rounds (unless i crit, then 4)

You wrote "Wouldn't putting Wind-Up before Powerballs (or at least one) be beneficial enough to be on a safer side"
so that s what i undeerstood.

Its crucial to use Powerball 1st, not Wind-Up.

Yeah like i said i only tested it on P/P Starlette, because it always works :)

So H/P and P/S Starlette also works with your rotation, which is better,
because my rotation works only for P/P (like you said) and yours works for all breeds.

I just assumed nobody uses H/P Starlette :D and P/S is still 2 slow for a lot of fights, so im mostly using P/P.

Okay then, we got this!! ;)

Final rotation for all Breeds vs Otto (3rd pet)

Powerball
Wind-Up
Powerball x2
Wind-Up
Explode

Lets hope people will like this tactic, and mods edit it to this final version :)

From Wind-Up alone, without explosion – which wouldn't grant the exp.
But as you tested it and it's fine, cheers to you!

All right man and thanks for the spirit :)

Trivium: Once Gráinne has noted user-favourite breeds for all pets. Iron Starlette was perhaps the most notable case that revealed an affinity for multiple breeds at once (or disagreement on just one). In fact, myself I keep two of NFDs for example but haven't come to Starlette yet :D

vs Otto (the Cow) i changed Iron Starlette from 1/1/1 to 1/1/2 (Explode)

This way you can use LEVEL 1 PET, that gets full Experience when u Explode and you dont need to swap to it.

For anyone who is struggling with this tamer, now that the Dazzling Dance/Flurry combo seems to be nerfed, I found a good substitute for the Foxling/Fjord Worg Pup. It's a very easy to get pet, but it must be an S/S breed to go first. Credits go to Elithe who posted this on Wowhead.

S/S Nordrassil Wisp (2-1-2)
Round 1: Flash, which causes Syd to be partially blinded (his Whirlpool can miss)
Round 2: Light - Syd will now Bubble
Round 3 and 4: Arcane Explosion (won't hurt Syd's Bubble but chips away at backline pets)
Round 5: Flash, again blinding Syd and giving a chance for Whirlpool to miss
Round 6: Light - this time Bubble is on CD and cannot be used
Round 7 and 8: 2 more Arcane Explosions should finish off Syd.

Mr. Pointy comes in and the Nordrassil Wisp should have enough health left to squeeze out another Flash and Light. From there on the Iron Starlette takes over and the strategy is the same as described above. Hope this helps and good luck!

Not sure on any nerfing, but the fox/Iron failed 10 or 12 times in a row for me yesterday so it seems something has changed, or I had the worst string of rng. And it wasn't that the fox didn't kill Syd and get a howl off. Each time the fox died at the step where he's supposed to. I ended up using the WIsp/Iron strat instead which worked

The change was very subtle. Do you remember how Howl was limited to one hit? Previously the fox could buff his flurries making his struggle with Syd way faster. Now, it isn't really possible.
While I appreciate Nordrassil Wisp's synergy, the problem is that without a speed buff on Starlette, she is doomed. Snowfeather Hatchling 1/1/1 (2-1-1-3-1) is superb as a replacement of Fox but again, you don't have that speed buff anymore, and the Starlette has a problem. Was trying to use "meaty" explosive pets (e.g. Dibbler) rather than making switches, but always there is that one round missing anyway.

@Sean The strat still works for me with the fox doing its job; could you tell me what exactly happens to the Starlette? Which stats does she have? Might be related to power output.

Cheers :) nowadays I use the Hyjal Wisp strat aswell.

I've tried to recreate that and it seems that it happens when Mr. Pointy doesn't use Impale because your worg (or fox?) has a certain amount of HP; that makes the shield trigger before Worg dies and in return makes the Starlette take damage.

change(#3) [ ! self(#3).played ]
ability(208) [ self.aura(458).exists ]
ability(459)

Scrapped the original script I wrote and created this one with some sanity checks, a less rigid structure, and more efficient character usage.

Thanks for a nice script :)

One thing that would be even better is that on enemy #1 you would pass when bubble is up (ability 934), just to shorten the fight a bit more :)

http://www.wowhead.com/pet-ability=934/bubble

I suck at writing scripts and I haven't really understood all the extra features and how to add them.

Maybe add something like:

standby [ enemy.aura(934).exists ]

(Im not even sure this is correct; I was searching for "pass" ability but no such luck)

Im not sure in witch order to place it either... well well... someday I will learn I hope O.o

If you switch Dazzling Dance for Howl on turn 1 of Mr. Pointy, this is almost 100% perfect.
